50 Cent opens Shisanyama shop in Umlazi, Durban

Umlazi in Durban is one of the most popular townships in South Africa. The popular township boasts amazing hanging spots including Eyadini and Max. Now American heavyweight rapper, 50 Cent has decided to add his flair to the kasi life by opening a shisanyama shop in the location.

The rapper announced the news via Twitter. “5-Bob ShisaNyama opens this weekend. Umlazi boss,” he tweeted with a map indicating where the hot spot will be located.

50 Cent has been heavily hinted to be investing in Africa. Last year, a 23 bedroom mansion was posted on his timeline and it is believed it was taken in Botswana. The rapper has been in trouble with authorities recently after he filed for bankruptcy but his lifestyle suggests otherwise.

LiveMonitor satire team caught up with his team member who confirmed the news and said 50 cent has been thinking of retiring and when he was in South Africa last year, he sampled a piece of our Pap and braai, he loved it and decided to open shop in South Africa. The ShisaNyama will also boast traditional African foods including jolof rice and mopani worms.

The shop is expected to give Eyadini a run for it’s money.

50 cent himself is rumored to be performing at the opening ceremony together with AKA and Nadia Nakai.
